i'm looking for a gift for a friend (she has started drum in french traditional group, "bandas" like),
i'm looking for a little drum or tambourine she can beat on while walking (she"s 50year old, 1,65m.) and mostly for decorative xD
my budget is around (up to 5 000jpy - 1400us$)
i've few questions :
1 - are you shipping to Europ (Paris- france) ? any idea of the additional cost
2- what else should i consider in my budget? (i've seen the "1.3 Shaku Kurinuki Okedo Daiko with Cross Stand") isnt too big for her? and can it be played while walking? are there drums which are more easier to ship?
waiting your answer
many thanks in advance?
Thank you for inquiring.
Given the budget of 5,000 JPY, you can purchase paranku (https://taiko-shop.com/collections/other-taiko/products/paranku). It's not same drum used in mainland of Japan but one of the major drum in Okinawa, the southern west island in Japan. The sound is different from the low and different sounds of other taiko. The sound is light and does not reverbe so much.
Or, how about uchiwa daiko (https://taiko-shop.com/collections/other-taiko/products/uchiwa-daiko)? It costs more than 5,000 JPY but your friend can beat while walking. It makes low sounds. The shape looks good, doesn'it?
By the way, I'd like to confirm you. You wrote "my budget is around (up to 5 000jpy - 1400us$)". 1400us$ is about 155,000jpy as of now. So, you mean your correct budget is up to 155,000jpy?
If 155,000jpy of budget available, I recommend you the smallest one of the katsugi oke daiko (https://taiko-shop.com/collections/katsugi-oke/products/katsugi-oke-daiko-akatsuki). Beating while walking must be this taiko.
>>1 - are you shipping to Europ (Paris- france) ? any idea of the additional cost
Sure. We can ship to Paris. As to the additional cost, it would cost tax, custom duties, and VAT. VAT is specially imposed for EU countries.
Custom Duty & Tax All import duties and taxes are the responsibility of the customers and will be collected separately in the destination country. We have no obligation to notice the customers the amount and rate of the custom duties and taxes. We recommend you to check them using the following websites. WorldTariff ® JETRO (Japanese External Trade Organization) For more info about shipping, please see this page.

1.3 Shaku Kurinuki Okedo Daiko with Cross Stand is relatively smaller than usual taiko. But, it's a bit heavy for 50years old woman to carry, I guess.
The bigger (heavier) the package is, the higher the shipping cost is.
If you worry about the cost related to the shipping (including custom duties), I recommend the smaller taiko like paranku and uchiwa daiko.
