This ryuteki has a great sound and has a very well balanced weight to it. As the resin one is lower priced, I would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to buy one but isn’t 100% sure it is the right one for them.

Amazing Flute, Amazing Shopping Experience
My first encounter of the Ryuteki - the Dragon Flute, was in Hayao Miyazaki's movie Princess Mononoke (1997). Composer Joe Hisaishi scored the Mononoke theme with the Ryuteki playing the main melody while accompanied by the symphony orchestra. The result is a sound that is spiritual, mysterious, and hauntingly beautiful.
I was so glad to have come across this music store - the Taiko Shop located in Japan. Since the start of my purchase, I had been having a very pleasant experience. Mr. Togo Miyahara from the Taiko Shop was very friendly and helpful, and responded to my inquiries via email very fast.
Shipping with DHL was amazingly fast. The package arrived a little more than 2 days after I placed my order! When I opened the flute, I was delighted by the amazingly careful packaging. The beautiful Japanese paper box, the plastic wrap, the certificate, everything felt so beautiful with great detail. Thanks to the finger chart that came within the box, I was able to play a little bit right away!
As for the flute, it is absolutely gorgeous. Made of resin, I think it will be very durable. The texture, the colour, and especially the sound! Everything felt premium with high quality despite it being a beginner level instrument.
This truly is a beautiful instrument that sounds and looks so gorgeous. Amazing value with such a reasonable price. I am so glad to have found this shop. Now I can start learning! I highly recommend this flute and store to everyone!
