A fusion of timeless beauty and modern style

OKAJIMA's bags and accessories are made of high quality silk.
The silk material is decorated using the hand-painted and hand-dyed method of Kyoto Yuzen.
Kyoto is a city of a thousand years and has been a center of culture and art since ancient times.

---The process
The shape of the bag is decided, the paper pattern is made, and the design is drawn according to the pattern. After finishing the fabric through more than 30 processes such as "pull-dyeing," "paste-down," "coloring," and "steaming," each item is sewn by hand.

---Material
The surface is made of "Nagahama crepe". In consideration of the combination of the body and the crepe, we use "Sofrina", which is said to be "more like leather than leather". Sofrina is a practical material that is lightweight, soft and supple to the touch, water-resistant and stain-resistant.

---Design
Chintz patterns based on natural motifs, which have been adopted in both Japanese and Western cultures, are expressed using the Kyoto Yuzen technique to create a gorgeous and あdelicate appeal.

---Functionality
We have pursued storage capacity, lightness, and ease of use. The surface of the bag is treated with water repellent so that it can be used in daily life.

---Production Time
Because everything is done by hand, it takes 3 months to produce.
