I'm growing tired of having to heat the drumheads for my Otsuzumi for the optimal sound, and they wear out way too quickly. So I'm currently considering buying one of these synthetic Otsuzumi's. I understand that these synthetic heads don't require heating, but how long do they drumheads last? Do I have to buy new pairs every now and then just like the horsehide heads, or do they last much longer?

The drumheads of synthetic Otsuzumi lasts longer than the horsehide heads. They aren't broken easily if they are used normally.
