Popular Traditional Costume for Taiko

Also known as matahiki. Momohiki is easy-to-move and made of the hard cloth.  It's one of work clothes widely used by artisan and also used in agricultural work and forestry work in Edo period (between 1603 and 1867) in Japan. It became a typical taiko player's costume effected by 50s Japanese film, Muhoumatsu no Issho (The Rickshaw Man) .
