Made of intsia wood. As its name suggests, the intsia wood is not Japanese wood as well as famous taiko wood, bubinga. But, this hard wood enables the taiko to produce deep sounds. Also, it is kurinuki taiko (taiko hollowed-out from one piece of wood) and has better sound quality. In addition, it has beautiful grain, which fits the dark brown body. Also, it has the beautifully decorated plates on the body. It's highly recommended to taiko players who want higher grade taiko.
