Beautiful and sturdy rope.
The rope was beautiful, sturdy and didn't product any dust like the old hemp rope I was using before. It holds the drumheads well, does not collect much dirt, and does not wear down every time I bind the kojime(小締め) rope around it to start playing. It's dyed well, and the dye does not wear off everything near it(this is what happened to me when I was using the hemp rope). My only gripe is that it's bit of an expensive side, I paid nearly 10 000 Yen, shipping combined. But, I've searched everywhere online, and this is as affordable as it can get. Most other shops sell the same rope for more, so I guess I'm content with the price. Can I ask you to sell other ropes for Otsuzumi as well My kojime rope broke a while ago, so I need a replacement, but since I couldn't get one, I'm using a shoelace instead, which makes my drum look pretty miserable. Also, an affordable nylon kesho-shirabe(化粧調べ) would be nice as well, it's not vital for playing the drum, as it serves only for decorative purposes, but I guess my drum will look better with it. For potential buyers, this rope is not the usual nylon rope you see everyday. It feels much more like cotton, and is very soft and plush unlike the hard nylon rope we see, while being adequately strong enough to keep it from wearing down.
