This is a well-crafted musical instrument. It looks good and is finished to a high standard. It can also produce a wide range of timbres that greatly aid musical expression. However, it is much closer in physical and technical characteristics to a seven-hole shakuhachi than it is to a traditional, eight-hole Western recorder.
