Rakusui's new shinobue is out now. It is painted darker than other rakusui's shinobue. It looks like fukiurushi shinobue that coated with transparent urushi lacquer. Shinobue crafted by Rakusui is strongly recommended for beginners to play first time because it's easy to make sound.

[What do we do use this for?]
2 shaku nagado odaiko is used for miyake daiko! It's made of keyaki (zelkova) and produces low and deep sound. Basically, a brand-new taiko doesn't make low sound (it needs to play again and again to make the sound lower). On the other hand, this taiko already has low and deep sound. You can play this for the performance as soon as you receive the package!
Usually, brand-new 2 shaku nagado odaiko made of keyaki (zelkova) costs about 2,000,000 JPY. Because it's used taiko, it costs one-fourth price (500,000 JPY!) and a stand comes with it.
